Life has been so busy! It has consisted mainly of three things : my husband (duh!!) :), my home, and the future.
Two days after Sam and I got married we moved from a small studio type duplex to a spacious two bed room apartment in an old renovated 1800's southern style victorian house. We love it here! The entire apartment community is great. It's a very beautiful and unique apartment complex that is tucked away from all of the hustle and bustle that is Marietta. The complex is composed of 5 victorian style mansions and 2 cottages. All updated and renovated into apartment complexes on the inside.

The entrance of our apartment complex is lined with Dogwood trees. |

This is one of the Victorian mansions turned apartment complex. It's right across the parking lot from our building. |
About a month after we moved in we set our sights on Colorado. Sam has been job hunting religiously every day. Our hopes are high and our ambition is higher!
That being said, I didn't immediately unpack once we moved in. I was really hoping if I didn't unpack we'd move sooner. That's how it works...right?? Although we've had a couple of very super duper close calls, nothing has stuck yet.
It has been seven full months since moving in and I finally started making our home really feel like home and unpacking some more boxes...while still prepping for a possible soon move to CO of course! Sam and I have decided to downsize A LOT so when the time comes it won't take much to throw our things in a truck and head out West!
My weekends have consisted of going through everything I own and separating everything into piles of things I truly need and things I don't. The things I don't need will be donated to charity. I feel like I'm making my life lighter. It's kind of nice not having so much stuff.
& now -- some pictures from my very busy home improvement weekend. :-)

My husband and our pups spent time with me while I painted. Rough life...right?? ;) |
