2tarts Bakery

Sam had an interview in New Braunfels, TX on Thursday. "Where the heck is that?!", you may ask. It's in Texas 'Hill Country'- 45 minutes South of Austin and 25 minutes North of San Antonio. {Great location in my book!} The town was founded by Germans, so it was kind of cool to visit a German influenced town in the heart of Texas. Think Biergartens (beer gardens) mixed with Western Saloons galore!

While Sam interviewed, I set out to explore the town a little bit and stumbled upon 2tarts (the most delicious bakery)!

I was in the midst of a Western Saloon, a bratwurst grille & pub, and a french antique store when 2tarts came into view. I hadn't had my daily coffee yet and I'm always in the mood for something sweet, so I decided I'd check it out. Little did I know I was about to have my taste buds explode from deliciousness. That happens...right? ;)

The coffee was perfect and the home made pineapple empanada blew my mind. I would drive the 4 hours to New Braunfels again just to visit this awesome bakery any day! Next time I want to try their homemade pop tarts.
