The Morning Ritual // Coffee Mission - No Matter Where I Am

I wake up at the ripe time of 7 a.m. with the lovely scent of freshly fed dog breath filling my nostrils and warm wet tongues gliding sloppily  all over my face. I moan in protest and try to push the combined 85 pounds of pure unadulterated  puppy love away from me. After only a few short minutes I give in  to the two pups, roll to the edge of the mattress, and flop out of the much too inviting bed like a fish out of water.

I stretch and move the hyperactive morning welcoming party to the backyard. The two pups can't be left alone because the youngest (and biggest pup) can jump the 4 foot tall fence. The pups frolic, run, and sniff every blade of grass in the entire yard to find that magical place to lay their waste. It has to be just the right spot and I must wait patiently for them to find it. You can't rush perfection. Of course they decide the most perfect place to take the biggest stupidest crap is in the middle of a walk way. I roll my eyes, tell my fur babies that they can be such pains sometimes (but still I love them dearly), find a stick, move the mountain of poop (I hereby declare this mound - Mount PoopsMore) out of the walkway, vow to the gods of pooh that I'll pick it up after my cup of coffee, and then finally take the dog loves back inside.

Eventually, I make my way from home (husband and I are in the guest house) back across the yard to the in-law's house where coffee runs like water. Once inside I say my good mornings to those in the house, but never stray from the mission at hand.

When I get to the kitchen the beloved coffee ritual takes place. I pick out the perfect mug, because it makes the coffee taste that much better. ;-) I fill this perfect mug with just enough space at the top to be able to have room for the goodies that come next. 1 cream + 1 sugar = 1 kick ass cup o' joe.

& finally..........I take that first sip of caffeinated liquid gold in all it's wonderful glory.

I am awake, I am caffeine buzzed, and I am ready to take on any task for the day (even tackling Mount PoopsMore in the backyard).
