The Not So Normal Day Pt. 2

After a call from my Aunt C about a last minute trip to Denver, CO asking if I could fill in for her at the wedding expo she produced with my Aunt M, time became of the essence. I had less than 15 hours to book a flight, book a rental car, pack my bags, and get on a plane to Colorado. Oh, and fit in a full nights rest to function properly amidst the chaos. This is completely do-able, but there is certainly no time to spare. My flight and rental car were booked by midnight and immediately I went off to bed to get a good 8 hours rest.

I woke up bright and early the next morning wondering if I had dreamed up the trip to Denver. Nope. My phone proved to me that I certainly hadn't been dreaming.

Packing was not that simple of a task. Sam and I only have a few outfits set out and the rest of our things are in boxes that are stacked neatly in the guest house garage. I, of course, needed the perfect outfit because I'll be representing my Aunts at the expo and will be giving a speech in front of hundreds of people, as well as interacting with vendors and expo attendees. Eek!!

I completely hulked out - I moved and dug through boxes like nobody's business to find that perfect outfit. After just a couple short hours, I finished packing, printed my travel confirmations, and started on the hour and a half trip to the airport.

Sam was a sweetheart and drove me ~ I could not tell you how we got there. We made it to the terminal by pure luck. It was a very confusing drive.

Once at the drop off terminal, Sam and I said our goodbyes and I headed off on my first ever solo trip.
